The Week In Retrospect

OMG! It's been like a week since I've written last. Hmm... so here's the breakdown.

Friday: Car decided to be a poopy-head and we found that it doesn't like to make left hand turns.

Saturday: Dad decided it had to be the driving shaft that was the cause of Friday's problems so he arranged it for his friend to fix my car. While Dave, the friend, was fixing my car my parents, Nikki (my brother's g-friend), Blake (my brother's friend since... forever) and I painted my brother's kitchen. (He was in DC). The kitchen was previously painted by a blind person. Navy cabinets, red walls sponged orange, with a bunny and vegetable border at the top and white trim. *shudder* if I can get a hold of one the before pictures I will post it later. Anyways, we repainted it. The cabinets are now a steel gray, the walls are called "Shamrock Blue" which is actually a blue/green/gray (pretty) and with the white trim it all looks really good.

Sunday: Yeah, it didn't fix the problem. I did a lot of first hand research in the form of circles at the end of the cul-de-sac. Shit.

Monday: I went to work, and worked. Then went and hung out with Joe and Bryan because I was really irritated with my roommate for eating my food. Tell me this, I'm I to blame if my roommate eats my food or is she? Yeah, that's what I thought. Anyways, I watched them play poker at Jason's house (no Jess, not your Jason).

Tuesday: Went to school and was bored. Went to Hype 7 practice at the Union. Holla! This helped me to avoid my roommates.

Wednesday: Went to work, and worked. However I was late because Dad came up to Lawrence to go with me to talk to the Financial Advisor. How did this go? Let's put it this way our conversation on the way back to my car went a little something like this:
Dad: So what did you learn today?
Me: That the system doesn't help anyone.
Dad: No, not unless you are poor or a minority.
Later that day I went to hang out with Joe and Bryan at their place. We were going to watch the KU game. But instead we went and rented a movie, got alcohol and sweets and watched a movie. I fell asleep like a usually do during movies. Oh well, at least I got away from my roommates.

Thursday: I went to school and was bored. Good point though, I skipped my morning class, and my last class of the day was cancelled. Unfortunately it took me a while to figure this out as I didn't read the syllabus. Damnnabit. Oh well.

So I just that brings us to today. Well it's already started out rather stellar. As I was turning from 435 to State Line I accelerated. (Bad move) And hit a sheet of some slick stuff- rather ice or newly fallen snow, and I spun out of control as my car died... again. Oh joy. So, how was your week?
