The Assertion Plan

In the immortal words of Sheryl Crow:
"I ain't taken shit off no one, baby that was yesterday."
Today is the day I stand up to my boss. Since I started in December, I have been running errands without compensation for the mileage. I have approached the subject many times, and have been shut down each time. But today, I will take it no longer. I've bitched and bellyached behind her back about the unfairness, but today I will stand up and said "NO!" Or at least that is the plan.
My backbone actually showed up last Wednesday after a 5 month hiatus. But it wasn't until about 10 minutes ago that I found the note on my desk saying that I need to run some brochures around, one to Olathe, the other to OP. And today I will say, "yes I will create them, and yes I will work hard for you, but no. I will not use my gas when I am not paid for mileage." This of course is the plan and may not have an actual follow-thru.
